Whenever my dog, Ralphie (named after the “A Christmas Story” Ralphie) and I are in the backyard, I am usually reading (today it was a book of essays by Elisa Gabbert) and Ralphie is usually busy gnawing on a branch that has appeared because of something called sudden branch syndrome, which apparently happens in summertime.
It was a pleasure to read this. I was just chatting with my husband today about how "Freddie Kruger" doesn't have a dog, doesn't like dogs, and dogs probably don't like him. But a dog would give him unconditional love, which is what he needs, and probably an Irish setter because it's orange and a dumbass.

Dogs fill my life too. I do love your storytelling and will subscribe when my pensioner cup refills in a fortnight. Blessings and peace.
Lovely. Like being in conversation.
